General Information
Target Audience
- This activity is intended for doctors, nurses, physician assistants, psychologists, social workers, and birth workers engaged in the care of patients during pregnancy.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Identify the key risk factors, management strategies, and supportive care practices related to stillbirth
- Evaluate the implications of medical paternalism in stillbirth prevention.
- Recognize the importance of shared decision-making and implementing strategies that promote collaborative care.
- Identify the factors contributing to the lack of ownership in stillbirth prevention while articulating the importance of shared responsibility among healthcare providers, government, and organizations.
- Identify why stillbirth knowledge is so low in the US and why it is described as a neglected tragedy.

State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
